Today I’ve been listening to the very excellent CBC radio 3 podcast. For all you americans out there, CBC is like NPR in Canada, only supported by tax dollars. Radio 3 focuses on independent music and I’ve heard some of the weirdest, most obscure stuff on there over the years (along with many of my favorite bands). Radio 3 has a weekly podcast along with “in session” features where bands will come in and play a live set; I just listened to the russian futurists session and it’s really good (they have a track in SOBP if you’re looking for a reference). Look it up on itunes, it’s free.
