lets build some trails

Posted in Uncategorized on July 7, 2008 by Aaron

Zac shot this cool photo of Brian and Marlo:

Here’s a couple more (if anyone knows how to get vimeo videos embedded let me know):

Luff Woods from Remy Archer on Vimeo.
MacNeil Trail Session from MACNEIL BMX on Vimeo.

Check out and get into trails. I probably won’t post tomorrow so I made this one extra awesome with content that’s mostly not ours.

Did some hiking, canoeing and swimming, slept on a raft out on a lake in the woods… pretty good weekend all things considered. We finished up mean streets and did all the voting; TJ took home the victory, his best trick being getting on his bike after a long hiatus. Good to see that guy riding again, he did some rad stuff and learned whips into banks. Terrence got a lot fo votes too, presumably for either tucking the┬ádot stairs, learning downside whips or just being an overall rad dude. Surprisingly, two huge 360s from Bryan Gooch and David barely hit the radar screens, just goes to show how people see things differently I guess, I thought it was between those two for sure. Steve put together an awesome edit of the whole deal, we’re debating whether we should put it online as most of the footage will be in the video at the end of the year and I don’t want to spoil too much. Feel free to comment on that here. Speaking of the video, I think we will work out a way to put it online full sized in decent quality, something like the mutiny webvideo. dvds will probably still be available to those who want them and people who are in it. We’re making lots of good progress with filming, if you’ve filmed stuff with me, one of us will give you a “mid way” edit of your stuff in the coming weeks, just to let you know what we’ve got. For those who don’t know, this years video will come in two formats: a traditional edit done by Compton and Zac and a non-traditional documentaryesque edit about bmx in Alaska and varous happennings throughout the year by Steve and myself. We wanted to do something different but still give people the option of a somewhat normal vid.
